Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour appoints new Marketing and Communications Manager

 
Vancouver, BC – (September 25, 2023) – The Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour (MJT), recognized as Canada's number-one played Junior Golf Tour with 100 events held nationwide in 2023, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Parker as MJT Marketing and Communications Manager.
 
An Honours Graduate in Publicity and Public Relations from the University of Toronto, Parker brings her expertise to the MJT after previously serving as a Partnership Manager at Keywords Studios in Quebec. Her professional journey also includes significant contributions in Marketing and Communications roles at Napier Outdoors and Family Enterprise Xchange in Ontario. Additionally, she has been recognized with the Alumni Award of Distinction in Small Business Management from Mohawk College.
“In today’s world of social media demands we are very excited to have Jessica join the program and manage communications, sponsorship and more,” said Elaine Denton, Director of Marketing and Administration.
 
Parker, who spent many summers at the family holiday home on a golf course in Myrtle Beach, commented, "I am genuinely thrilled to become a part of this incredible organization, filled with opportunities for new experiences and exciting challenges."
 
The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour aims to develop champions, in golf and in life, promoting the game from grassroots through to provincial, national, university and professional levels. About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s number one-played Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada. The organization is supported by valued Premier, Tournament and Product Partners. The MJT hosts close to 90 events across Canada, including free Ford Go Golf Junior Clinics, the MJT Mini Tour for 12U and multi-day events for competitive players aged 11-19 which also offer qualifiers for international tournaments. The program has annual awards, scholarships and incentives to help reward performance and participation throughout each season. MJT alumni include many Professional Tour players and PGA of Canada Professionals, as well as Canadian Amateur, National and Provincial Junior Champions.
