Hole-in-one and playoff highlights MJT Mini Tour Invitational at Quilchena
A select field of highly skilled young players aged 12 and under on the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour, Canada’s #1 Junior Tour, qualified for the special MJT Mini Tour’s Order of Merit (OOM) Invitational on the private Quilchena Golf and Country Club in Richmond, BC, on May 25. The field was limited to a maximum of 50 competitors, who battled it out for titles in six divisions on the deceptively challenging par 73 course.
Highlights included a playoff in the MJT Boy 9-10 division and a brilliant hole-in-one on the challenging 8th hole by nine-year-old Sydney Wang from Vancouver, BC, who ended up placing seventh place in the MJT Girls 9-10 division. About the MJT: The non-profit Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour is Canada’s #1 Junior Golf Tour as well as the only national junior tour run exclusively by PGA of Canada Professionals and the ‘Road to College Golf’ in Canada.
